Matthew 13:11 Jesus answered them, "To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.”
Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
The Bible tells us that the mystery of God is Jesus Christ: “For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Colossians 2:1–3).
There is no understanding of God apart from a personal relationship with His Son (Matthew 12:50; John14:23; 2 John 1:6). Jesus Christ is the “mystery” revealed to those who believe—as is the mystery of “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).
God’s plan of salvation!
Genesis 1:1 and Revelation 13:8
In Genesis 1:1 the verse reads in Hebrew as this:
בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ
Bereshit bara Elohim et hashamayim ve'et ha'aretz.
In the beginning God created
the heaven and the earth.
The first Hebrew word recorded in Scriptures is … “Bereshit”, (‘in the beginning’).
God’s plan of salvation is laid out in this one word.
The word Bereshit (בראשׁית) in Hebrew letters is:
Tav, Yud, Shin, Alef, Resh, Beit
(Hebrew is read right to left.)
The very first letter beit – ב is a picture of a house.
In the Torah, the first letter of a book is enlarged to focus interpretation of the verse. Here this focus is showing the foundation of the world is focused on God’s house… and the first two letters spell “bar” בר meaning “son” shows the focus is on the kingdom of the Son- “the House of the Son of God”.
Additionally, the letter beit has a numerical value of 2, which is associated with duality … and could refer to the dualities of God’s House – spiritual/physical, and more.
We know that Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) is the “lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world” – Rev. 13:8 and we see this in the other words that make up the first foundational word in the Bible:
( multiple words … (7 words) … within one word )
בר Bar means “son” - בראשׁית
א The aleph, is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet and represents God. ” - בראשׁית
שׁית Sheet means “thorns” - בראשׁית
ראשׁ Rosh means “head” - בראשׁית
ברש Brosh means “tree” - בראשׁית
So here in one word, we see multiple words saying,
“ The son of God, crowned with thorns upon His head, on a tree” …Then…
שיShy means “gift” ” - בראשׁית
ת The letter “Tav” represents covenant and originally looked like a small “t” or a cross ” – בראשׁית
So here in sequence we see in the first word “bereshit” that, “The son of God, crowned with thorns upon His head, on a tree, is the gift of the covenant”…
This is a very apt description of the “lamb that was slain from the foundation of the word” indeed!
Maranatha! Blessings!
